Lori Mercier, Managing Director - Europe

Heading up Douglas Stewart in Europe, Lori Mercier's career includes nearly a decade with Quark in the USA and Europe including commercial management of its UK operations, followed by European Management within pre-press and imaging leader Kodak / Creo where she was responsible for developing and growing a three-tier European software distribution channel for retail, corporate and education markets. Her focus on business development and vendor and channel relations, coupled with her expertise in managing marketing, operations, and customer service, makes Lori Mercier a valuable asset to the Douglas Stewart EDU management team and key to bringing Douglas Stewart EDU's educational value-added distribution expertise to Europe.

Stephen Hedegaard, Sales Director

Stephen Hedegaard joined Douglas Stewart after 14 years with leading software supplier Civica (formerly MSL) during which he built the education software business from scratch to revenues of more than £15 million. His experience includes a deep understanding of all sectors of the UK education market and building effective partnerships with key software vendors such as Adobe, Macromedia and Microsoft. Equally important is his understanding and close working relationship with influential bodies in the education sector.

Tania Dockree, European Operations

Tania comes to Douglas Stewart EDU with a comprehensive work history well suited for managing our growing European Operations. She has worked within Manufacturing, Accountancy, Security and the Service Industry. Her last role of 7 years was as General Manager within a large distributor dealing with accounts, logistics and day to day office management helping the organisation to grow from less than £1 million turnover to £9 million. In this and previous positions, her focus and goal is to make every order from receipt to delivery as smooth and professional as possible. This philosophy, coupled with her strong customer service skills, provides Douglas Stewart EDU customers and suppliers with excellent services and stronger and trusting rapport.

Scott Eustace, Marketing and Information Manager

Scott is heading our educational marketing efforts throughout Europe. His expertise covers print and online marketing, graphic design, web development and events for the educational market. He comes to us from a London-based marketing agency focusing on education, students and youth. Prior to this Scott was responsible for marketing and events at King's College London Students' Union.

Tsjitske Bruinsma, Sales Representative

Tsjitske is responsible for business development in Germany, Benelux, Scandinavia and France. This includes managing reseller and vendor activities. She also works closely with vendors regarding sales and marketing opportunities to target the education market. Prior to working for Douglas Stewart, Tsjitske worked as a Territory Manager at Netopia for 6 years, building the enterprise sales team and developing the channel in the United Kingdom and Scandinavia. Tsjitske's native language is Dutch and she is fluent in English, German and French.

Shalini Chopra, Education Account Manager

Shalini is responsible for business development in UK and also manages reseller accounts in Germany. She works closely with the resellers, marketing and vendors to develop opportunities for growth in the education market. She is also responsible for smooth customer service operations on a daily basis. She come to us after nearly three years living in Germany, where she worked in sales and marketing for an international manufacturing company based in Munich. She is fluent in German, English and Hindi.

Samantha Hodgson, Education Sales and Product Specialist

Sammie is our Product Specialist, and works closely with our vendors to ensure we always have the most accurate and up-to-date product information available. She is also responsible for Business Development and Account Management in Southern Europe. A Spanish and French graduate with direct experience of teaching in Spanish schools, Sammie joins us from a partner relationship management role with the NHS.
